From the production team, Caitlin Whittaker aged 23 graduated from University of Birmingham (UOB) last year with a degree in Music. She is now working in a box office as well as hosting her own radio show such as Music For Airports on Brum Radio playing chilled, alternative and eclectic music from Birmingham and beyond.
Caitlin volunteered for last year’s Project SoundLounge festival which enabled her to gain an insight not only into the process of getting the festival up and running on the day but also into the experience and knowledge that the team picked up from professionals and each other along the way. Caitlin got a taste for putting on live music events through her role as Head of Events at her university’s start-up record label New Street Records, which then made her keen to gain as much experience as possible to pursue a career in live music events. Caitlin loved the feeling of putting on a successful evening of live music, especially when attempting to do something a bit different to an ordinary gig night.
Lumi HD and Midnight Magpie performing at Digbeth Dining Club were a highlight for Caitlin last year due to the incredible atmosphere they created, and she would love to have the opportunity to be a part of bringing amazing local talent into the Birmingham consciousness.
