Project SoundLounge festival set to take the city by storm on 7th – 9th August

Birmingham’s only free youth-led music festival coming to Birmingham city.

Hosted at brindleyplace, Digbeth Dining Club and Town Hall, Project SoundLounge is a free festival that celebrates our city’s sounds – created entirely by the city’s burgeoning talented young musicians.

Legendary Birmingham reggae group Friendly Fire Band make their Town Hall debut at the Project SoundLounge festival on Saturday August 8th, alongside local names such as Namiwa Jazz, Lobster, Malarkey, Beatfreeks poets and many more.

Festival performances include soul and jazz artists, Midnight Magpie and Lumi HD at Spotlight in Digbeth as part of Digbeth Dining Club, and experimental hip hop trio Ruane Maurice and Birmingham hip hop native Sic’nis play Brindley Place band stand on Friday August 7th.

An array of food stalls will be supplied by Digbeth Dining Club, offering their locally sourced street food on both Friday 7th and outside Town Hall on Saturday 8th.

Birmingham folk-indie favourites Midnight Bonfires headline Town Hall on Sunday 9th August, together with Midlands rock group Piston and singer songwriters He Is A Pegasus, Dan Wilks and Matt Tyrer.
